The mailing list

vwtype3.org is the home of the Type 3 e-mail list. This is a place for folks to share repair tips, part sources, stories, and other information about VW Type 3s of all sorts (Notch/Square/Fastback, T34, SP-2, etc.). Be prepared for as many as 50 messages per day. Text messages only--no pictures, sounds, or video please!

Subscribing

If you would like to join the Type 3 mailing list, send a blank e-mail message to type3-request@vwtype3.org with the subject:

If you would rather not have dozens of Type 3 messages in your mailbox every day, you may instead subscribe in the digest mode. In digest mode, you receive a day's worth of messages all bundled together in one single message per day. To subscribe in this fashion, send instead a blank e-mail message to type3-d-request@vwtype3.org with the subject:

Mailing list archives, old and new

Once an hour, new list posts are added to the recent list archive. Messages are removed after one week. You may navigate through these messages in several ways:

• by thread, in which messages of the same subject are grouped together; and
• by date of the message.

Before posting a question to the list, you might learn what you need to know much more quickly by searching over 60,000 past posts. Please see the search page.
