Scott's NOS Industrial Engine

View from upper rear Right side; valve cover removed Rear view, showing upper fan housing structure

The story of Scott's '63 or '64 industrial engine:

Hi

Bill of Bill and Steve's recommended I send a note to you. I purchased an
NOS early typeIII engine. It's a '63-64 single carb engine that is new. I
purchased it to replace the engine in my '69 beetle, but when I picked it up I
found it was both new and complete. It would be a shame to strip it down and
put it in my bug.

The engine has all the factory sheetmetal, oil cooler, exhaust, intake, carb
and airfilter, including the preheat hoses. It's never been started, has the
orginal breakin oil and spark plugs. It's been stored dry, so it has no
internal problems, but it is missing the distributor cover, and fuel pump.
There is some surface rust on the distributor and the flywheel. Since it's an
industrial motor it doesn't have heat exchangers, but the J tubes are original
and the fan outlets are blocked with the original plugs.

I'm looking for a new BeetleMex engine in trade, or 1200$ toward purchasing
one.
Buyer pays shipping from Washington DC suburbs.
